We learned something on Mr. Coffee and friends last week that is pretty eye opening!
The social media poop storm of last week surrounding the November 7th mayoral race caused so much of a ruckus that candidate Nick Proctor took to his Facebook page and made a statement letting voters know where he stands with the back and forth vitriol of his potential constituency.
He's not having it. Proctor states he will be keeping his campaign bipartisan (like the office of mayor is listed). He's focusing on issues regarding the City of Howell. He will not tolerate hateful language and vitriol that doesn't follow rules of normal societal discourse...
Why was Proctor drawn out to make such a post?
Last week mayoral incumbent Bob Ellis went on to a local podcast and professed that he is "a more progressive kind of person". He stated that he was a lobbyist in DC after his retirement from the Airforce working specifically on repealing the military's "Dont Ask, Dont Tell" policy implemented by the Clinton presidency.
This policy allowed for gay and lesbians to serve in the military if they choose, but did not allow them to speak openly about their sexual preferences or proclivities.
Local military veterans and community members, exhausted by the leftist propaganda in our country, started discussing and sharing memes based on his words in that podcast. Shortly after, Howell resident and failed commissioner candidate Kasey Helton took to social media stating that Mr. Ellis was "under attack by 'outsider' extremist bigots" and they "used unredacted pictures of his family"(the pictures Ellis personally shared on social media and the podcast) to attack him. She called on all people to check out his endorsement by a local marxist extremist political action group to support Mayor Ellis.
Memes shared on social media:
To further the fire, Helton, went to Mr. Proctors post and bashed his handling of the Melon Fest Drag Queen Bingo debacle from 2 years ago as to why he is no longer fit for the seat of Howell Mayor. A community member spoke up with reciepts that proved the bingo withdrawal was not due to Nick Proctor (then mayor) but was brought to vote by none other than Bob Ellis! The withdrawal was due to parks&rec zoning and liquor licensing.
Public 🧵:
After the receipt of the truth she no longer wanted to discuss it:
Maybe because it no longer served her divisive narrative? Who knows!
It seems every time a communist supporter (under the guise of "democracy") makes a statement the majority of people in the community don't like, ALL people of our county become (let me get this label tirade straight for accuracy) LGOP, MAGA, bigot, racist, KKK sympathizers.
Maybe people in this community just believe sexual preferences and proclivities should stay where they belong... in the bedroom. Not everyone likes having other's sexual preferences shoved down their throats or in their children's faces. It's really that simple!
As for the mayoral race, we aren't going to make an endorsement, but Nick Proctor certainly seems to walk and talk the bipartisanship required for the job.
Mayor Ellis, we do have a question, how many of the new marxists flag flying business did you give COVID money via small business grant's during your tenure? Are you "lobbying" to help flip Howell like you help usher in the current White House administration? Don't worry, once our FOIA's are answered, we will know.
Happy Tuesday Livingston county patrons! It's a beautiful fall day!
